Promote technology transfer connection activities with Korean partners

On October 14, 2022, in Soc Son, Hanoi, the Business Delegation of Changwon city, Korea had a visit and worked with Z17 Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. under the General Department of Defense Industry - Ministry of National Defense. This field trip is part of the side activities of the VIDEX 2022 Exhibition and the Technology Connection Program in the supporting industry field with the Business Delegation from Changwon City, South Korea, which will take place from December 12 to October 14, 2022 in Hanoi. The program is organized by the Vietnam Technology Transfer Center (VTTC) in collaboration with the Center of Exhibition and Trade Promotion of the Army (CETPA) and the Changwon City Industry and Trade Promotion Agency (CWIP).

Visiting and surveying the factory of Z17 Company, the Changwon City Business Delegation included REO Co., Ltd., Bon Systems Co., Ltd., Shinhung Industrial Co., Ltd., Yoosungeng Co., Ltd., Tae Machine Company, Hansung S&I Co., Ltd., Hyundai Minutes Co., operating in the field of supporting industries.

Speaking at the meeting, the representative of the Leaders of Z17 Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. under the General Department of Defense Industry - Ministry of National Defense highly appreciated the goodwill of Changwon City Business Delegation in seeking business cooperation opportunities in Vietnam as well as transferring modern production technology from Korea to Vietnam. Z17 Mechanical Company is a leading pioneer in Vietnam in the field of CNC precision mechanical manufacturing, punching, stamping, bending, deep drawing stamping, aluminum-zinc pressure casting, stainless steel casting, plastic injection, gold plated, copper plated, surface treatment, heat treatment… From 2007 to 2018, Z17 company invested in equipment and machinery to expand production and improve labor productivity. During this time, Z17 promoted the export of household products to the European market such as mixing bowls, outdoor charcoal grills, etc. From 2019 to now, Z17 company has promoted trade promotion and exporting items to the US market in large and sustainable quantities such as steel bed frames, consoles, and picture frames.

Changwon City Business Delegation learned about the operation of the factory and production workshops of Z17 Mechanical Company and discussed the potential for cooperation in implementing technology transfer projects and joint research and production of components requiring high precision. The main export products of Z17 company are products related to mechanical stamping, made from stainless steel, enameled steel or powder coated depending on the requirements of customers such as Kaufland, Kingfisher, Landmann… absolutely comply with European standards NF EN 1860-1 +A1 on human health safety. Products with deep stamping technology and mirror-polished, grained according to the needs of customers such as IKEA, Elmich ... meet the large production volume of millions of products per year.

The parties also discussed enthusiastically about pressure casting and stainless steel casting, aluminum-zinc pressure casting, which is also a significant strength of Z17 Factory and is always trusted by the most demanding customers. In addition, Z17 factory also invests in stainless steel casting lines to diversify the production of difficult and complex casting products. In order to improve productivity and quality, the factory has invested in modernizing the powder coating line and arranging the current automatic robot welding system. Surface treatment and plating technology have been the base technology of the Factory since the early days of its establishment, with lines ensuring high productivity, output and quality. All kinds of products under plating technology always bring high aesthetic value and perfect quality.

This factory survey visit laid the foundation for establishing relations between the two sides and implementing cooperation projects in the coming time.
